China, Russia, US (in alphabetical order) & the country named Hellas - not Greece

What about this for a coincidence (?): In less than one and a half month the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met the three traditional geopolitical leading forces’ presidents. Not all the universe has conspired in helping Hellas to achieve that; crisis just shifted to opportunity. And here we are, with a ‘failed homeland’ considerable lifting; with a new international image gradually integrating substantial added value.

What would leading forces’ motives be? Well, well diversified. China is developing One Road, One Belt (The New Silk Road) - and Hellas is  a stepping … port in project’s maritime part - and not only; Russia is backing Russian Orthodox Church to become dominant player in global religious turmoil; Othrodoxy, in general, plays a progressive unifying role in it. Last but not least, US need to restrain traditional Hellas’ role in the area and push IMF financial model in the country.

From the six fundamental things or core ingredients (human capital, ideas, material reality, time, space & money) Hellas is dramatically counting on numbers 1, 2, 4 & 5 to manage 3 & 6. TIMING is ideal for responsibility to be taken; global energy crisis, financial crisis (Shifting tides: Global economic scenarios for 2015–25), & climate crisis are not in its fault range; however both as administration & population (should) undertake a considerable portion of responsibility on the moral crisis traditional politicians caused on finance - it takes two to tango; Greece has always been linking East with West; it is at a critical juncture now; country’s LOCATION is finally considered & managed as its most valuable asset; being in maximum control of your territory is vital, especially today; national strategy is ingeniously crafted by politicians who are aware of a unique mix of ideology, pragmatism & effective governance necessity.

The government is prioritizing Modern Societal Priorities - that does not meant effective management in zero time though. SUSTAINABLE TOURISM framework is under development - not only for 4 seasons or 12 months but even 52 individual weeks added value - for the client? No! For the visitor? No! The recipient would be a cultural pilgrim. Developing a data bank of experts regarding more than 100 alternative tourism forms would be a good start; E-GOVERNANCE, especially fighting tax evasion, takes decisive steps ahead; INFRASTRUCTURE development (ports, trains) is core reform’s priority; INTANGIBLE investments is another still low-profile area which has a bright future in Hellas.

Crisis prolonged period has given the opportunity to everyday people to prove several Modern Human Awareness parameters have been deeply realized & practiced every day towards fellow Greeks as well as refugees & migrants. The country, both administration & citizens have demonstrated HUMANITARIAN awareness to the maximum (actually Hellas represented whole Europe's humanitarian face) although in the middle of a financial storm. ENVIRONMENTAL awareness is another field which gave concrete results; Hellas has earned third place worldwide in ‘blue flag’ (clean beaches) certification.

Some of the FUTURE BUILDING BRICKS which would dramatically support Hellenic effort have been wisely taken into consideration & efficiently approached recently. International giant online retail company ALIBABA’s president, Jack Ma met Greek Prime Minister in Shanghai in an effort to strengthen SMEs in Greece, and especially young entrepreneurs. GOOGLE has already proven its eagerness to support lifelong training for tourism SMEs; BRICS New Development Bank has been also willing to help.

More state-of-the-art tools for rebuilding the country are under evaluation final stage; international best practices like inviting global leading innovators, investors & policy advocates on top priority fields to propose new business models, technologies, protocols and social policies that can accelerate the pace of transformation in those domains are under way.

After Brexit many realized everything has changed; many more understood Hellas was ‘the tree but not the bush’; they realized ‘the king has been naked long ago’ - the queen being always dressed well; some third ones, behind the stage, started to launch gradual leaking of old - but always good ‘breaking news’; 1. IMF: Deutsche Bank was the biggest single risk to the region’s financial system. 2. IMF warns of fresh financial crisis due to European banks  3. EU Banks Need $166 Billion, Deutsche Bank Economist Tells Welt; 4. Dangerous Dr Wolfgang Schäuble; Germany’s finance minister: The most dangerous man in Europe? For whom? Not only for Hellas any more but whole Europe. On the other hand, Hellas, already a member of the Asian Investment Bank, has been offered relations with One belt, One Road project.

"We are at the center of a storm, of a whirlpool. But you know we live near the sea -- we are not afraid of storms, we are not scared of open seas, of going into new seas. We are ready to go into new seas to reach new, safe ports" Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said some one year ago at BRICS St. Petersburg International Investment Forum. Less than a year later, in the midst of a larger storm of paneuropean scale this time, announcement has started to materialize.

Nobody claims everything is already perfect in Hellas; for instance, everyday life is still unsupportable in Hellas - hélas! This is the most crucial point. Inner truth becoming exterior truth gives a sculpture masterpiece; renovation of homeland’s international image would not be worthy a penny unless a continuous effort is under way to substantially ameliorate local population’s situation. Additionally, we all know “that which does not kill us makes us stronger”; however there is always the ‘death’ possibility; and this would be a point of no return... This last ‘point’ does not match only to Greeks; it applies universally.

The Storyteller of the Future Social Change warns…
P.S. Sorry! I forgot to thank IMF Director Christine Lagarde on her proposal to Let the Olympic Games Come Home to Athens, Permanently; I am really much obliged by her evergreen support…
